HOW MUCH COMMISSION WILL I EARN OF EVERY SALE?
Our affiliates are paid 5% commission right off the gross total of the TankTop sold. So, should the sale, stemming from a link on your site, blog, email or print ad incur a sale for $199, your account will be credited $8 for each one sold? Taxes and shipping charges will not be included in your percentage split.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Well, you've already done the hard part. The rest is very easy. If you are a website or blog simply include one, or a couple, of our predesigned banners somewhere on your site or blog. Make sure that you code it with your specific URL address (example: http://www.thetanktop.net/<your name>) which ensures your account is credited when your visitors click through and place an order.
Are you a print publication? If that’s the case, we would have already spoken and provided you with our digital print ads, ready to drop directly into your publication. These unique ads will already be designed to include YOUR specific URL. When your readers go to that URL address and orders, your account will be credited as soon as the sale clears.
WHEN DO WE GET PAID ON ORDERS ORIGINATING FROM CLICKING ON OUR AFFILIATE LINK?
We pay out our affiliates on the first of the month, so you should get your check a few days after that. Keep your eye on that month's earned commission total as that is the amount the check will be made out for.
WHAT KIND OF DATA CAN I ACCESS?
When you are approved to be a TankTop affiliate you will be provided with your own unique Userid and Password, as well as a link leading you to your individual Administration area. In this area you will have access to a number of features pertaining to your account, including the ability to change passwords, have access to your unique tracking code, edit contact information, view transactions as a result of your visitor’s orders, as well as see your commission earnings and be given the ability to change how you are paid. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us, but we try to post here most of the most common questions.

Going to our banner page you will find access to predesigned banners, in different sizes, you are free to use and place into your site or blogs. Want to share a banner, along with your unique code, to your Facebook wall? Fantastic! A great idea and you can do that, as well. Should you have any other unique ideas as to how you would like to promote your URL to a large audience, we are all ears. Our Print Media Friends
You will be provided with custom print ads, ready to be dropped directly into your publication, sized up and ready to go. Our print relationships are handled on an individual basis so, if you are reading this you have already spoken to one of us and we have already set up a method for you which will bring you back the largest return. But, as always, we are in a never-ending search as to getting the word out there about the fabulous, popular and necessary product, the TankTop. HOW CAN I DISPLAY THE AFFILIATE LINK ON MY SITE OR BLOG?
As mentioned above, all you need to do is simply go to our banners page, select the banner you would like to highlight on your site or blog, and then use your custom URL to add the link to it. Please let one of us know, should you need any help, but it’s a very easy and straightforward process. We have also placed some text blurbs, coupled with coding here on the banner page, as well. Please copy and use the code exactly as it represented here; don’t change it, other than to replace <your name> with your actual account code.

In the event that you are linking a TankTop banner, place the banner onto your site, and then use the above link to it. This will ensure you get credit for the sale on those who click through. Will be adding full code here shortly, if you want to place just code on your site and have everything pull from our site, including the banner.

No. There is absolutely no charge for joining us and becoming a proud affiliate of The Tank Top. If you run across a site who IS charging you, claiming to be an "agent" of ours, please report that to us immediately. The only legitimate TankTop affiliate program is right here at www.thetankTop.net.

ARE WEBSITES OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES ABLE TO SIGN ON TO BECOME YOUR AFFILIATE
We hear you all, out there, but for the time being, unfortunately, No. As with everything associated with Mustang Restoration, Inc. we are consistently updating and improving sites and services. Here, very shortly, we will be making this TankTop affiliate program International friendly. That will be happening fairly soon, so when it does we will be very excited to welcome all our international friends.
I OPERATE MORE THAN ONE WEBSITE. CAN I STILL JOIN YOUR TANKTOP AFFILIATE PROGRAM?
Absolutely. You may have a website AND a blog. You are welcome to join having both, or even multiple websites. We can handle this one of two ways. Should you what to know which site is bringing in which income, we are going to need to set you up with two different accounts. This is the only way you will be able to tell which of your sites, or blogs, are the biggest earners. If this doesn't make a difference to you, you are welcomed to use your same unique code as links across ALL of your sites, blogs, and social media.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A WEBSITE TO JOIN YOUR PROGRAM, OR ARE THERE WAYS TO PROMOTE YOU WITHOUT A WEBSITE?
While it’s preferable that you be in control of a website which targets the classic car, classic Mustang market, it’s not absolutely necessary. Those with Facebook pages can greatly benefit from placing our banners and their custom code onto their Facebook postings. Have a large targeted email list or newsletter you send out to? These are excellent mediums in which to get the word out. In that case, I would suggest that you copy some of our text codings into your email or email newsletter. You are welcome to include our banner images into your outgoing newsletter and pasting in our banner code will do a great job embedding our banner onto your page and keeping track of your unique click-throughs. HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY WEBSITE, OR BLOG, IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM
Once you submit a request to become a TankTop affiliate, your submission will be reviewed by "the Doc" himself. As long as your site is classic automotive related, specific to classic Mustangs, a Mustang Club, parts catalog house, blog or index, you will be approved. Once approved you will be notified. You will also be forwarded your userid and password, along with your link to your personal Admin area. This is the area you will be able to not only edit your own contact information but see real-time stats as to what your links are selling and how much commission you have earned so far that month. More on this explained a bit further down.
WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS YOUR AFFILIATE?
We expect that you are joining so that you can earn extra money from your site's traffic, therefore give our banners and links good, highly trafficked placement. Please only use the banners we provide you, and when placing text links onto your site, blog or Facebook page, place it in its unaltered state.
If you are a print publication we expect you will simply place an appropriate ad (to size needing to fill) for the months you need extra space filled. Please use the ads unaltered. Should you run into any issues with the downloaded PDFs, or need a size which is not represented, please contact us. You will be taken care of right away, as helping you, our affiliate friends is our top priority.
HOW DO I MANAGE MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION
To manage any part of your account simply click on the Affiliate link at the footer of the site. Enter in your account email address and password and you will be forwarded to your personal Administration area. In this area you will able to:
Take a few minutes and click on the menu to the left. You will quickly become accustomed to its function and will easily be able to get the information you want.
DO I EARN COMMISSION ON THE TAX AND SHIPPING COSTS OF A PRODUCT?
No. You will earn your 5% commission on the gross TankTop price itself. Your commission calculation will not be based on the product cost, and shipping and tax total.
